You’ll want someone who specializes in firearm engraving specifically, since hand-cut work on steel is a different skill set than general metal engraving

A few good options are R K Specialties in Honolulu for metal/jewelry-style engraving and firearm-compatible work, or Da Laser Guy for mobile laser engraving across Oahu. Also check local FFLs like Kit n Gun, they often know who handles compliant firearm engraving.

Turnbull Restoration does exceptional engraving work and treats the metal right before touching it. Shaw Custom Engraving gets mentioned regularly too for handguns specifically. Both worth contacting for quotes.
