Looking at history, which gun would serve as the most fitting symbol for Hawaii?

seems like the "Defend Hawaii" crowd has iconisized the carry-handle AR-15 for that in their logo? I think that ship has sailed ...

otherwise it'd have to be some old flint-lock musket, if that's what "The Kings Men" carried back in the day. Unless guns weren't in use back then, yet, still spears-n-clubs.

Modern logos tell one story but the islands’ real history looks a lot more spears than rifles.
