What Is Your Favorite Shooting Range?

What’s your favorite shooting range, and what keeps you coming back? I’m curious about everything from the staff and vibe to the facilities.

Schofield Barracks ranges. KR4 (80yds) and KR3 (1,700yds+). It's an Army base, access restricted to SB gun club members & guests.

staff: It's all volunteer staff, usually helpful and friendly "fellow firearms enthusiasts". No limit on how many rounds in the mag, or how fast you shoot. All Hawaii State laws apply.

facilities: minimal, primitive range, you have to be totally self-sufficient, such as shooting mat, target stands. They just provide the flat real-estate and supervised firing line where you can safely shoot. You have to pick up all your brass.

There’s this local indoor range with great airflow and staff who actually shoot. I pass three others on the way there because good people make a bigger difference than fancy shooting lanes.
